I was tasked with seamlessly integrating 3D objects into photographs of empty halls, ensuring they appear truly photorealistic. To match the original lighting, I first built a rough 3D replica of the hall so that light would enter and bounce in the same way. I handled camera matching and base modeling in SketchUp, then brought the scene into Blender for lighting setup and render-layer composition. Finally, I leveraged Cycles’ volumetric rendering to introduce subtle atmospheric effects—like mist and light shafts—for added realism.
